Machine description:

The Cabinplant sausage depositor is a fully automatic solution for alignment of portions of sausages (or similar products) in trays. The depositor is designed to operate together with a multihead weighing machine and must be installed directly above the thermoforming/tray sealing machine.

The sausage depositor is available with various format sets and for various tray dimensions.

Capacity: 100 – 120 portions per minute, depending on format set and product

Tray format set lane / row: 1-2/1-6

Max. product diameter: 170 mm (for format 5x2)

Working principle:

The weighed-out portions fed by the multihead weigher are discharged into a horizontally moving transfer trolley. The moving transfer trolley is tailor-made and contains the same number of compartments as the number of trays included in one cycle in the thermoforming machine (e.g. 4 trays in 2 rows per cycle = 8 compartments).

When the transfer trolley has collected all portions required for one cycle, the weighed-out portions are dropped into a vibrating unit, where each portion is aligned.

After alignment, the portions are transferred to vertical tubes (one tube/portion). After collection of all portions the tubes turn 90° to horizontal position and at the same time move independently to a c-c position immediately above each tray and discharge the portions gently into each tray, thus completing the cycle.
