Machine description:

Cabinplant has developed an integrated system for dispensing, conveying, filling, closing, labelling and - if required - packing clamshells into master cartons. The system is available in a double-lane and a four-lane version.

The stacked clamshells are placed in a magazine from where they are dispensed and placed on a step conveyor for conveyance to the filling position. In the filling position, a Cabinplant distribution/ accumulation tool transfers the product into the clamshells. From the filling position, the clamshells are conveyed to a Cabinplant closing unit and then to a labelling unit (if required).

Versatility:

The system is versatile and enhances packing of a variety of seasonal products throughout the year. Changing from one style of product or clamshell tray to another takes minutes.

The double and four-lane models have removable partitions between the step conveyors. By changing the tray dispenser and removing the partition, different widths, sizes and shapes of clamshells can be packed. The typical package weight for fresh fruits and vegetables varies from 180 to 1000 g per package.

Weighing and counting:

The weighing/counting process is carried out by a Cabinplant Multihead Weigher suitable for the specific product. Our Multihead Weigher is developed specially for packing of fragile products such as cherry tomatoes or cookies.

Our Multihead Weigher is designed with a special low friction product zone for handling of sticky products, such as dates.
